What is Circuit Revival?
Circuit Revival is an initiative that refurbishes donated computers and provides them to students and community members in need. We also offer hands-on training in computer repair and promote sustainability by reducing e-waste. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide and give technology a second life.

Who can benefit from Circuit Revival?
Circuit Revival provides refurbished computers to:
Algoma University students who need access to technology for their studies.

How does Circuit Revival help the environment?
By refurbishing old or unused computers, we prevent them from ending up in landfills. Our goal is to prevent at least 2.5 tons of e-waste from entering the environment, making technology more sustainable and reducing the global e-waste crisis.

Donation Questions

What kinds of technology can I donate?
We accept a wide range of technology, including:

How do I donate my devices?
Donating is easy! Simply fill out our [Donation Form] with the details of the items you want to donate. We’ll arrange for you to either drop them off at a designated location or schedule a pick-up if needed.

Will my data be safe if I donate my computer?
Yes. Before refurbishing any device, our team securely wipes all data from donated computers. We use professional-grade software to ensure that no personal information remains on the device.

Can I get a receipt for my donation?
Absolutely! Once your donation is processed, we will provide you with a donation receipt, which may be used for tax purposes.

How do I request a computer?
If you need a refurbished computer, simply fill out our Request Assistance Form. We’ll review your request and match you with a device that meets your needs, based on availability.

Who is eligible to receive a computer from Circuit Revival?
We provide refurbished computers to:
1. Algoma University students who need technology for their studies.
2. Community members who cannot afford a new device.
3. Nonprofits serving underserved populations. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Is there a cost to receiving a refurbished computer?
No. Thanks to donations and partnerships, our computers are provided free of charge to eligible students and community members. However, if a device requires additional upgrades or specific requests are made, there may be a nominal fee for parts.

Can I request a repair for my existing laptop?
Yes! If your laptop needs repairs, you can fill out our [Repair Request Form], and we’ll assess the issue. Our team of trained students will repair the device either for free or at a minimal cost, depending on the parts required.

How can I volunteer with Circuit Revival?
